DCG Umar Ahmad Saraki (Rtd.) is a seasoned administrator and educator with decades of distinguished service in public sector leadership, correctional administration, and education. He currently serves as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Kebbi State Home Savings and Loans Limited, bringing with him a wealth of experience in public finance, institutional governance, and human capital development.

A retired Deputy Comptroller General of the Nigerian Correctional Service, DCG Saraki held several high-level positions during his service, including the strategic role of DCG in charge of Budget and Finance at the Force Headquarters, Abuja. In this capacity, he was responsible for overseeing financial planning, resource allocation, and fiscal accountability within the service. His tenure was marked by integrity, discipline, and excellence in public financial management.

Prior to his career in the correctional service, DCG Saraki was a Senior Lecturer at the College of Education, Sokoto, where he contributed to the development of future educators and the advancement of academic excellence.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the prestigious University of Sokoto (now Usmanu Danfodiyo University), and he is a Fellow of the National Defence College (FDC), Nigeria’s foremost institution for strategic military and security studies. His professional development also includes participation in numerous specialized trainings and leadership courses both within Nigeria and internationally.

DCG Umar Saraki’s broad-based expertise in education, public administration, and correctional service leadership positions him as a valuable asset to the Bank’s Board, contributing to sound corporate governance, strategic oversight, and policy direction.
